The last I heard of new intelligence skill that we need – EQ. Emotional Intelligence. And now its Collaborative Intelligence – CQ. If these letters look like some genetic code, then we definitely need help in understanding them. Dawna Markova with her extensive knowledge comes to our aid with improving our understanding of how each person works and thinks differently. By looking at a colleague quick to jump and start off some commands to see how things work, I could trace his pattern of hands-on as his mode of acquiring knowledge.
Knowing what is the major mode of learning, audio, visual, kinetic and the many possibilities of need for different kinds of collaboration, based on the people involved in the team is very clearly depicted for each of the modes. Its like a workbook which you can use to understand your team, its differences and what you can change to make it tick.
