Read it backwards

I have a time Machine

So many times, you try to review your code or what you have written, that it gets hard to find mistakes. A very helpful tip from Ian Lurie in his Writing Marketing Copy course, is to read it backwards. Now thats a great idea for not just reviewing your work with new eye but using the ‘revise’ to create too.

Reading it backwards will force you to read it without prejudice. Since its the first time you are reading it backwards, you have no idea what to expect and this might trigger new ideas in your brain.

Come to think of it, all the reminiscences, looking back at the year, going up the hill when you are at the foothill, different vantage point providers.

This can work well for poetry revision too.
